Family Matters

The movie was probably in black and white to reduce the violent nature of the
different crime scenes. The lack of special effects was most likely caused by the
graphic nature of the dead bodies at the crime scenes. The story moved forward whenever
the two main people had finished talking. Most of the sets were residential areas set inside of one city. The lighting consisted of bright or sunlit areas. The camera seemed to focus on both people whenever one was talking or on the victim when at one of the various crime scenes and then moved back to the speaker when they started to explain what had happened.
